Mount La Tresenta ascent

Climbing Mount Tresenta (3609 m), the easiest of the peaks belonging to the Gran Paradiso group, along the Normal route, is an exciting mountaineering experience that takes place in two days. A mountain climbing excursion recommended as a first approach to mountaineering

Day one
The itinerary starts from Pont Valsavaranche (1960 m) and leads to Refuge Vittorio Emanuele (2775 m) in about 3 hours walk, with a 815 meters elevation gain, on an easy path. Dinner and overnight stay at Refuge Vittorio Emanuele.

Day two
From the refuge, the climb starts at dawn. The summit of Mount La Tresenta, along the Normal route, can be reached in about 4 hours with an elevation gain of 830 meters. From the top, where there is a summit cross, the mountaineers can admire unforgettable panorama. The descent is along the same climbing route with an elevation loss of 1649 meters. The ascent and descent takes approximately 9 hours.
