The hike typically starts from Passo San Pellegrino, which is accessible by car from nearby towns such as Moena and Falcade. From Passo San Pellegrino, the approach to the ferrata begins with a hike to Rifugio Passo delle Selle (2,528 meters), which takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. The trail to the rifugio is well-marked and moderately challenging. It can also be reached by cable car.

The Bepi Zac via ferrata is classified as moderate (grades B to C). The entire excursion route, including the approach and return, typically takes 6-8 hours to complete. The descent usually follows the marked trails back to Passo San Pellegrino

The route begins at Rifugio Passo delle Selle with a well-marked path leading to the start of the ferrata. The initial climb involves some scrambling and easy climbing sections, secured with cables.

Much of the ferrata follows the ridge line, offering exposed sections with spectacular panoramic views. The ridge traverses are well-secured with cables and iron rungs.
