Information about the off-piste steep skiing in Monte Rosa

The excursion starts from col Forcella Bors and it goes up through the namesake glacier heading to a little rock island. The path, then, keeps climbing all the way to the scenic ridge that looks at valley Alta Val Sesia. After accessing the mountain side the snowy ridge will be overtaken. On the mountain side, now less steep, the path crosses the crevasses area and it leads to the bottom of the slopes of Mount Malfatta, to Rifugio Pastore and then to Alagna.

The descent is priceless but particularly hard with declivities between 50° and 60°. The central stretch of the mountain side, in case of powder snow, is an absolutely indescribable experience.

This freeride steep skiing in Monte Rosa to Punta Vittoria is a particularly demanding itinerary for the extreme skiing specialist. The complete equipment for glacier skiing is necessary.
